Belfast City Airport will once again shine a spotlight on Northern Ireland’s thriving distillery scene as That’s the Spirit returns from 25th October – 1st November 2026.
The weeklong celebration will champion the craft and heritage behind some of the region’s most exciting spirit brands, giving passengers the opportunity to sample premium products and meet the makers driving Northern Ireland’s distilling renaissance.
The distillers taking part in this year’s lineup include Basalt, Copeland, McConnells, and Jawbox.

“As an airport rooted in the heart of Northern Ireland, we are committed to celebrating the exceptional producers who are elevating Northern Ireland’s reputation on the global distilling stage.
“That’s the Spirit is about giving passengers a genuine taste of home through the craftsmanship and character that define our local distillers.
“We are excited to welcome a range of distillery brands this year, each bringing their own story and spirit to the terminal.”

Brand representatives will be on hand to share tasting notes and production insights behind each bottle.
Caroline continued:
“Here at Belfast City Airport, we’re proud to champion the outstanding local products we stock, and this initiative allows us to celebrate the distillers who pour passion into every batch.
“We look forward to welcoming those travelling through the airport to join us in October as we raise a glass to Northern Ireland’s world-class spirits.”
The wide selection of Northern Ireland-made products showcased throughout the week will be available for all passengers to purchase at World Duty Free, including gin, whiskey, vodka, rum, and liqueurs.
Gerry White, founder of Jawbox Gin, said:
“It’s fantastic to be returning to Belfast City Airport for the second year of ‘That’s the Spirit’, following the success of last year’s campaign. It’s a brilliant platform for celebrating the quality, creativity and provenance of Northern Ireland’s growing spirits sector, while giving travellers the chance to discover the stories behind the brands being made here.
“At Jawbox, quality, craftsmanship and tradition are at the heart of everything we do. Triple-distilled in small batches at our distillery just outside Belfast, our award-winning gin is rooted in Belfast’s rich industrial heritage and made with genuine character. Jawbox is a gin made to be shared, enjoyed and celebrated in good company.
“Being part of ‘That’s the Spirit’ again allows us to build on the connections made through last year’s campaign, introduce even more travellers to Jawbox and give them the opportunity to take a taste of Northern Ireland with them.”
About Jawbox Gin
Jawbox Gin is an award-winning classic dry gin produced in a distillery set in a 300 acre estate just outside Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is distilled in traditional copper pot stills, in small batches, using grain from the fields surrounding the estate and a unique combination of 11 botanicals including local Belfast Black Mountain Heather.
The name ‘Jawbox’ comes from the local nickname for the famous Belfast sink, a focal point of many kitchens in the city’s Victorian golden age and a lasting symbol of the city’s great manufacturing outputs in the early 1900s. A lot of laughter and craic was heard around the Jawbox. It still is.
The Jawbox Gin range includes Jawbox Export Strength (47% ABV) and two gin liqueurs (20% ABV), Jawbox Pineapple & Ginger Gin Liqueur and Jawbox Rhubarb & Ginger Gin Liqueur. Both liqueurs feature classic Jawbox Gin, combined with fiery ginger spice, finished with the intense flavour of rhubarb or pineapple.
